The main aim of the symposium is to provide a platform for a multidisciplinary discussion on the intelligence of real and virtual machines. Since we entered the era of big data, Internet of Things and cloud services, embodiment is no more required for intelligence and its evolution. Intelligence as a service appears to be the main challenge towards weak artificial intelligence and a world of many connected machines, fast wireless connectivity and remote brain concepts. The symposium should discuss and agree on guidelines of designing intelligent machines (physical and virtual) and their connection in the sense of Industry 4.0/Reality 2.0. The purpose of machine intelligence has always been to improve the quality of human life. Various fields such as robotics, embodied and non-embodied systems and further can bring inspiration to applications useful for society. Digital Intelligence for Systems and Machines is a big challenge of mankind to benefit from. Business models of these applications are crucial since the balance between human labor and unemployment is a decisive factor in our current chaotic and fast-developing society. 13 invited speakers from 4 continents. 5 Special Sessions with April 15 as submission deadline. Accepted papers will be submitted to inclusion into IEEEXplore Database, SCOPUS and selected contributions will be published in the Springer Verlag Edition book collection. After additional review, selected papers should also be considered as perspective for high ranking journals. Topics include, but are not limited to: Embodied and Non-embodied Intelligence Industry 4.0 Concepts and Principles Cloud Services for Intelligent Solutions Symbolic AI Ontologies and Knowledge Representation Expert Systems Intelligent Robotics Cloud Robotics Human-Robot (Computer) Interaction Service and Social Robotics Intelligent Decision Support Systems Intelligent Logistics and Planning Computational Intelligence Machine Learning Neural Networks Intelligence for Big Data and Data Mining Fuzzy Systems Evolutionary Computations Intelligent Complex Systems AI Supported by Cloud Computing Bio-inspired Artificial Intelligence Knowledge-based Systems Digital Intelligence for Cyber-physical Systems Mixed and Virtual Reality Systems Digital Intelligence for Internet of Things & Everything Multidisciplinary Approach to Intelligence + new and interdisciplinary technologies with business potential towards autonomous and intelligent systems beneficial to our society
